Catholic/Dominican Tradition. Barry University is a Catholic, coeducational institution with a history of distinction. Student Body
Barry’s enrollment is 9,042, with 3,149 graduate and professional students. The University has grown steadily in size and diversity, while maintaining a low student-faculty ratio (11:1), thereby providing for the individual needs of its academic community. The majority of graduate students enroll part-time in evening and weekend classes on Barry’s main campus in Miami Shores, Florida. Graduate education degrees are also offered at several other sites in Florida. Barry’s School of Law, granting the Juris Doctor (JD) degree, is located in Orlando, Florida.

South Florida Location
Barry University's 122-acre campus is located in Miami Shores, a residential community seven (7) miles north of downtown Miami and 14 miles south of Fort Lauderdale. Facilities & Resources
The library facilities (Monsignor William Barry Library, Dwayne O. Andreas Law Library as well as the libraries at SEPI and Rice) contain a total of more than 115,700 items of print and nonprint material, including more than 4,000 periodicals. The library is also a member of the Southeast Florida Library Information Network, the Florida Library Information Network, and Southeast Library Network, Inc. Other facilities on campus include a television production studio (the David Brinkley Studio), a human performance lab, an athletic training room, a computer lab, a biomechanics lab, a nursing lab, a 1,000-seat theatre, multimedia business classrooms, and a cell biology/biotechnology lab.

Tuition
Tuition is $780 per credit hour for most Master’s programs and $930 for many doctoral programs. Variations are notable in the Schools of Graduate Medical Sciences, Education, Social Work, and Nursing. Please be sure to check your specific program.

Housing
A limited number of on-campus rooms are available for graduate students. We also maintain a listing from nearby apartment owners for your convenience. Please contact the Office of Residential Life for more information.

Financial Aid
Financial aid is available. Professional scholarships (up to a 30 percent discount) are available for full-time social workers, educators, nurses, or members of a religious community. Some schools offer scholarships and other forms of financial assistance. Barry University also participates in the Federal Family Loan Program and applicable state Florida financial aid programs. How to Apply / Application
As an applicant, you will be expected to have earned a 3.0 cumulative GPA or above in undergraduate work. (Exceptions must be made by your School or Program Director.)
Many programs require submission of scores from standardized tests (such as the GRE, MAT, MCAT, or GMAT); the specific test requirements depend on your program. If your university/college degree is from an institution in which English is not the language of instruction, you must submit a score of 500 or better on the TOEFL examination (or at least 173 on the computer-based TOEFL).
