Overview
Oklahoma City University offers a quality, values-centered education. United Methodist universities share a rich tradition of academic excellence. Oklahoma City University is the only Oklahoman institution listed in the top tier of the regional, master level university category by U.S. News and World Report magazine’s "America’s Best Colleges" issue.

Classes are small (averaging seventeen students for undergraduate courses and thirteen for graduate). All classes are taught by professors who share a commitment to the success of each student. Most professors hold the highest academic credentials in their fields. Students have daily access to their professors and plenty of individual attention. Although many of the professors conduct research and publish in academic and trade journals, their number one priority is teaching students.

Location and Facilities
Life on the beautiful campus of Oklahoma City University also sets the school apart. Oklahoma City University is small enough for to feel a sense of community but large enough to offer the full university experience. The campus sits in the heart of a major metropolitan area, amid historic neighborhoods, near the State Capitol complex, and close to downtown attractions and the Bricktown entertainment district. Entertainment, museums, restaurants, and shops are all nearby. Opportunities for cultural enrichment abound on campus, including concerts, plays, and world-renowned speakers.

The university continues to improve facilities and services to accommodate students. Recently dedicated are three new campus improvements that will enhance the student experience: a $1.2 million expansion to the Norick Art Center, $1.1 million for the Ann Lacy Visitor and Admissions Center, a new $18.3 million building for the Meinders School of Business. In addition, construction continues on the $25 million Wanda L. Bass Music Center, and the building is scheduled for completion in January '06. A task force is looking at ways to make the C.Q. Smith Student Faculty Center the hub of campus life. The beautifully landscaped grounds make life at Oklahoma City University a pleasure, providing an inviting space for quiet study or the odd football or soccer game on the lawn.
