Overview
With an overall student enrollment of over 27,000 and graduate enrollment of approximately 9000, the University at Buffalo (UB), is the largest of the four University Centers of the State University of New York and a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities. The Graduate School of Education, with roughly 1340 graduate students is one of twelve professional schools within UB. The campus is very diverse, with close to 4000 international students placing it at number 11, in international student enrollment, among 2,700 US accredited universities.
The Location and Community
Located at the eastern end of Lake Erie, Buffalo is the second-largest city in New York State. Cultural resources include the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, which houses one of the finest collections of twentieth-century art in the world; the Buffalo Museum of Science; the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra; and the Studio Arena Theatre. Programs of Study and Degree Requirements
GSE trains scholars, researchers, teachers, counselors, administrators, and other educational personnel for service in educational organizations such as schools, colleges, and universities, as well as community and government agencies around the world. GSE offers an array of doctoral and master's programs, including those leading to New York State certification.

Expenses and Aid Tuition and fees in the State University of New York system are typically lower than those of private institutions. The University at Buffalo charges international students the same tuition and fees that it charges American students from outside New York State.

Applications to all degree programs offered by GSE are online at www.gse.buffalo.edu. Application deadlines may vary for individual programs, and not all programs accept students for both fall and spring.
